SELF CARE FOR DAYHOME PROFESSIONALS
The dayhome profession is often considered an easy work-from-home job where providers get to “play all day,” but anyone who has run a dayhome program knows this career choice is no walk in the park. Long hours, no breaks, and no coworkers to chat with or bounce ideas off of throughout the day can create the perfect conditions for provider isolation and burnout. In this session, we’ll discuss the importance of self-care as a dayhome provider and the kinds of self-care strategies we can work into our dayhome programs to help us manage our self-care and overall wellness in practical ways.
